Clane General Hospital first opened its' doors in October 1985 as a small private elective admission hospital. The Hospital has gradually grown over the years, both physically and in the services it provides, and remains one of the country’s foremost facilities providing quality care for medical and surgical patients.
Clane General Hospital is a fully accredited 39 bed Hospital. This accreditation affirms that all departments within Clane General Hospital have demonstrated the highest standards of organisational management and service delivery.
With four operating theatres we offer a full range of general surgery services including urology, ENT, gynaecology, orthopaedic, dental, cataract surgery, endoscopy, dermatology and plastic surgery.
Our outpatient services include a Pre-Admission Assessment Unit, Walk In Blood Service, Diagnostic Imaging Department, Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic, Open Access Cardiology, Vascular Laboratory and 17 Consultant's Suites.
The philosophy that continues to influence our work, and which should be reflected in our patient care, is that of “complete quality of care given in a safe environment”.
Car parking is available free of charge at the front of the Hospital.
Clane General Hospital is a smoke free facility. Smoking is not permitted on the premises unless you are in a designated smoking area. For fire safety reasons, the use of e-cigarettes is prohibited.
